As vapors condense, they pass through a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter designed to collect and grow them until they are dense enough to fall into the bottom of the tank. The tank can hold up to 3 oz of oil, which is quite efficient considering the capacity of the PCV system. Regular drainage every 2,000-3,000 miles ensures maintenance-free operation.
